For some, 2015 has been the best year so far, for some others, it has been the worst year, and for some still, 2015 has just been there. Well, no matter how you choose to describe your 2015, much more importantly is how you choose to end it. It is very possible that you might not have been able to achieve some of your 2015 resolutions, fine, but what steps have you taken to rectify your shortcomings? For instance, prior to the start of the year 2015, I made a resolution to read through my Bible at least once this year. As it were, I couldn't even read half the Bible, hey! This post is dedicated to all single Christian ladies who do not want to be a Pastor's wife, lol. How do I even begin this write up? Ok, well, here's the gist. After I became genuinely born again, members of my fellowship started to prophecy into my life, saying that I am going to be a Pastor's wife and stuff. Initially, I was like "really? So, yesterday I talked on sexting, and boom! I got feedbacks from friends. A friend pointed out that there is nothing wrong if lovers engage themselves in a sex chat, and asides that, it fosters long distance relationship. Well, yea, I agree. The idea of sexting really is to help couples who live far apart from each other, you know, remember themselves in the light of their sexuality. So yes, for couples who are joined together in Holy Matrimony, that is marriage, I believe you can sex chat. However, my emphasis is not on the married, it's on the single Christians, and what makes me sick is the fact that the single and unmarried are those whom are actively sexting. I'm quite surprised that some of you guys don't quite agree that sexting is bad for the  unmarried Christian . Many of we Christians want to be rich and wealthy like king Solomon, yea, right? At the same time, we want to be enthusiastic for God like our dearly beloved Apostle Paul. I got this very thoughtful message from a friend, and since you guys here are my friends too, I want you to read it. Imagine you are in a christening ceremony, and the time comes to christen the child. The Pastor then asks the parents of the child to bring him forward to be christened, but instead, the parents and family start looking at one another confused and all searching for the child! All of a sudden, the father of the child announces that the baby has gone missing. Then you ask yourself, "Of what meaning and importance is a christening ceremony without the child to be named?" Imagine how disorganized and catastrophic that christening ceremony would be.... But my dear that is exactly how your Christmas this year would be if Christ is missing in your life. Let him dwell in you by opening the door of your heart to him today, tomorrow maybe too late. MERRY CHRISTMAS.

It's that time of the year again, where you begin to feel dissatisfied with yourself and your little or no achievements. I'm talking about that moment you try to analyze what you have been able to do with your life, and what you haven't. As a matter of fact, if we are not very careful, we might end up jeopardizing Christmas for ourselves. Fine, you may have had several resolutions when the year started, but due to some unavoidable barriers, little was achieved. Still, that shouldn't make you think low of yourself for you have been fearfully and wonderfully made (Psalm 139:14). Moreover, all things work together for the good of those that love God and the called according to His purpose (Romans 8:18). So, believe you me, everything that you were not able to make, and that which you were able to do, are all for your good as long as you love God, and are walking in His purpose for you. Today, something occurred to me, and I figured I've not been a kind person, not at all. I know I'm somehow strict, but then, I've also been unkind, which is not Jesus-like in any way. Here's the gist, in my school, all Christian students of every particular class gather once each week for class prayers. And so, for my class, we gathered as usual today, and when the time came for sharing of testimonies, a class mate (name withheld), whom I've never seen attend the class prayer stepped out to share her testimony. Like almost everyone, I thought "oh, thank God she came today, what does she have to say now?". Previously, I made a post on the need to guard one's heart. However, God told me that it's just one of the several reasons men and women often become unfaithful to their spouses. Nevertheless, I wouldn't want us to relate with this issue on marital basis alone. Unfaithfulness occurs almost in any institution, be it financial, academic, etc. So, now, under God, I would tell us 3 more causes of unfaithfulness. 1. Lack of The Fear of God: As the Book of Proverbs has rightly said, "The fear of God is the beginning of wisdom" Proverbs 9:10. Being faithful in all, as it were, requires wisdom, and wisdom without the fear of God is foolishness. Even when you do not fear anyone, or when it seems as though nobody would see your unfaithful actions, God is there. Joseph had the fear of God in Him, and he was faithful (Genesis 39). I was going through my bible yesterday morning, and I came across Malachi 2:15, that says, "Didn't the Lord make you one with your wife? In body and spirit you are his. And what does He want? Godly children from your union. So guard your heart; remain loyal to the wife of your youth." NLT. And I was like "wow!" I had quite a huge traffic yesterday on the love post, and I noticed that people are more interested in love matters. Well, actually we are right to be more interested in love matters, because really that is the essence of our existence anyway. Even God is Love, 1 John 4:8. But, love as is were, goes beyond marriage. Marriage is just one of the institutions where love is practiced, there are several others. Of all the 'loves', the love of God should be the most important in our lives, because that is the only love that continues even after death. The Bible permits a partner that loses his better half to death to remarry (1 Corinthians 7:39), but in Romans 8:38-39 nothing can separate us from the love of God, neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither our fears for today nor worries for tomorrow, not even the power of hell can separate us from God's love. As regards to my previous post on crush and crushes, I mentioned that, you would know it when your true love comes. Then someone asked me, "how would you know it?". Initially, I had no answer to that question, because obviously I've not experienced it, I ain't yet married. To be honest, I don't really know the signs that tell you about that person. This week, we would be going through a series that deals with the tongue. I'm trusting that God Himself would speak to us through this medium in Jesus Name. The tongue as it were, is what enables speech. If a man's tongue is tied or caught off, his speech becomes deterred, such that he would have difficulties in projecting clearly. Therefore, technically, without the tongue, it is impossible to talk clearly. So, what does the bible say about the tongue? In the Book of James, the tongue is an organ that cannot be tamed, that is, you cannot control it. Out of the abundant of the heart, the mouth speaketh (Luke 6:45). Actually, for so many of us like me who are very extroverted, this is an issue. A Book of the Bible I read that chastises me every time I read it is the Book of James. No matter how frequently I read James, I feel so disappointed at how poorly I have my tongue controlled. Now the Bible says that what you have in your heart is most likely what you speak. For me, I tried so much at will to restrain myself from talking unnecessarily, but on the long run, I realized it is the heart that needs to be restrained. I saw a very old movie yesterday, title is 'fighting temptation', a black American movie. Seeing the movie made me realize some new things. There was a choir, the Beulah Choir. It consisted of the old, the young, the 'saints', the 'sinners', the prisoners, the harlots, the drinkers, and they were all led by a liar and gold digger. But of course, there was a member of the church who stood out to condemn such a distasteful congregation of choir. I mean she was up and against having sinners in the choir. Initially, I felt the woman should be ignored as she was taking the matter too personally. Well, you know movies, it had all that happy ending and stuff. What bothered me was, what next after the happy ending? Did the sinners in the choir still continued to be sinners or did they repent and were changed for good or not? This is a very very very controversial issue in the "Christiandom" today. Some churches believe Christians should be poor, or that Christians should not have wealth, because blessed are the poor, (lol) Matthew 5:3. And at the same time, some other churches believe that God is evident in your life through what you have, and that our God is not poor, so also, His children shouldn't be poor. While I can't tell who is right or wrong, I'd briefly share with us some Biblical truths concerning wealth in the next few paragraphs. Sexual sins as far as the Word of God is concerned doesn't have to be when you physically lay down with someone, nope, in as much as you think and fantasize it in your mind, you are guilty of it, Matthew 5:28 "But I tell you that anyone who looks at a woman lustfully has already committed adultery with her in his heart". First of all, having sexual urges in itself isn't a sin, it is whether we choose to dwell on it that determines if it's gonna be a sin or not. On this note, the Bible says we should flee all appearances of evil, 1Thessalonians 5:22. Don't get me wrong, sexual urges means your urogenital system is working fine. But, as a matter of fact, it leads to evil if not managed properly. For example, audiovisuals are a high leading cause of sexual sins, that is what you see tend to drive your mind to sin. Wisdom, the bible says is principal to direct, Proverbs 4:7. But as we also know, wisdom can come to us and we may be tricked to believe it is from God when clearly it is not. For example, someone who steals may claim he gets wisdom from above which is false. So, below are 7 ways to identify wisdom that is from God, (James 3:17) 1. IT IS FIRST OF ALL PURE. I'd say the opposite of pure is evil, so wisdom is either pure or evil. Note the phrase "First of all", that is, before any other step or course of action, it is pure. If you believe you are wise, but evil is found in your wisdom, then your wisdom is not from above, rather it is from you and your selfish ambition. 2. IT IS ALSO PEACE LOVING. If your wisdom supports violence and promotes hate, I bet you it's not from God.  3. IT IS GENTLE AT ALL TIMES. "At all times brother" not sometimes. I remember back in my high school days, whenever two people were involved in a fight, seriously, I always had this satisfactory feeling of having fun. In fact, most times, I encouraged the fight and hoped that no one would stand up to separate or settle the fight. This went on until the day I got involved in a fight myself, and there was also no one to stop the fight, I mean, everyone just watched with faces gleamed with satisfaction as the verbal exchanges escalated to physical combats. We both settled the issue ourselves when we got tired of the fight. At that moment, I was in pain, not as a result of the brawl, but because no one even tried to stop the fight from getting worse, including those I thought were friends. It was then that I made up my mind to always try to settle fights or quarrels (that's within my capacity tho). The end of a thing is better than its beginning thereof, Ecclesiastes 7:8. The funny thing about life is that the end is usually what determines how well you have lived. Even in Christianity, it is also like that. It is whether you make heaven or not at the end that matters, and not how well a Christian you may claim to be. With this in mind, we already have what it takes to excel in whatever we do. Let's imagine this scenario, there are two people, one of them is a Christian, I mean a real Christian, and the other is the exact opposite, he doesn't know God. Then, at the end of each of their lives, the Christian made an error and ended up in hell, while the other one got born again on his death bed, and made heaven. Now, you agree with me that it is the end of a thing that really matters, though it may seen unfair, but that's just how it is.  Sometimes, I try to buy a dress, and somewhere in my mind I hear "that is worldly". Some other times, I'm listening to a good music, and instinct just tell me "hey Miss, that's some worldly lyrics". These instances sound familiar to you right? Or you got invited to a friend's party and even before you utter a word, "worldly" has already been screamed in your head. Seriously, you are not alone in this, and that's why the Holy Spirit would be taking His time out to help us define what is worldly.  First and foremost, it is either you are in Christ, or in the world, so permit me to say that anything that is not in Christ is worldly, John 15:19. Having established that fact, we can now go ahead to draw the line between Christ and the world. "Dear friends, I warn you as 'temporary residents and foreigners' to keep away from worldly desires that wage war against your very souls." 1Peter 2:11 NLT. There are times when we feel very disturbed over nothing par say. I don't know if its general, but for me, there are sometimes I just feel so disturbed within myself, without really knowing why. Some people tell me it's hormone, or period related which I doubt now. While waiting on God for today's blog post, He showed me the verse above, 1Peter 2:11. Instantly, my mind went to those times I just felt disturbed for nothing, and I realized something was waging war against my soul. The thing is, when our soul is not at peace, there is no way we can be at peace too. Now, what I want us to realize first is that, we are temporary residents here, therefore worldly desires shouldn't be a part of us. So here is it, the posts on pursuing and the key to recovery seem to be generating more and more raised questions, but be rest assured, the Holy Spirit is here to fill you in. So, we have learned that the key to a successful pursuit is knowing the mind of God by hearing from Him, and that leads us to these 5 ways to hear from God. 1. THROUGH HIS WORDS. In retrospect to what I shared yesterday is today's post. Some guy asked me why one needs to pursue at all if at the end of the day it is what would be that would be. One of the advantages of being a child of God is that you can talk to God just about anywhere and at anytime. Majority of us complain about the lack of privacy we have to pray, hence the reason for this list. Ephesians 6:18. 1. IN THE LOO. For those wondering what loo is, the loo is the toilet where you do that thing, lol. What privacy do u need again when you are alone in there, so whenever you have your stomach dragging you to the loo, remember to spend that 5 to 30mins praying. NB: For your hygiene, I advice you pray with your mind open, and not your mouth. 2. IN THE CLASSROOM. Although the privacy here is not maximally guaranteed, you can still get some few minutes to talk to God. The thing is, we're are not of this world, but we are in it, and as a result we are left with no choice than to share in the problems of the world. Well, the joy we have is that Jesus has already overcome the world for us. Therefore, I've come up with this list through God Himself, to help us in our times of grief and sadness. 1. SING HYMNS. Hymns are songs Heaven actually credits. When you sing hymns, there's just this awareness of the presence of the Almighty God that you feel, and it definitely would help your mood. I was in fellowship tonight and the Preacher posed a question on assets and access. Now, I'm going to be paraphrasing the same question to us. Is our major to get assets from God, and our minor to access His presence?
