3 Reasons For A Man's Unfaithfulness
Previously, I made a post on the need to guard one's heart. However, God told me that it's just one of the several reasons men and women often become unfaithful to their spouses. Nevertheless, I wouldn't want us to relate with this issue on marital basis alone. Unfaithfulness occurs almost in any institution, be it financial, academic, etc. So, now, under God, I would tell us 3 more causes of unfaithfulness.
1. Lack of The Fear of God: As the Book of Proverbs has rightly said, "The fear of God is the beginning of wisdom" Proverbs 9:10. Being faithful in all, as it were, requires wisdom, and wisdom without the fear of God is foolishness. Even when you do not fear anyone, or when it seems as though nobody would see your unfaithful actions, God is there. Joseph had the fear of God in Him, and he was faithful (Genesis 39). So, if you have been having issues with being faithful with your church account, to be honest with you, you do not fear God. Repent now!
2. Lack of Spiritual Understanding: You need to ask the Holy Spirit to help you understand that he who is faithful with little, much more would be given unto him. Luke 16:10 "“He who is faithful in a very little thing is faithful also in much; and he who is unrighteous in a very little thing is unrighteous also in much." When you fully grasp that knowledge, being faithful in the things you do generally would occur to you naturally. God sees and judges the heart of every man. Jeremiah 17:10 New Living Translation "But I, the LORD, search all hearts and examine secret motives. I give all people their due rewards, according to what their actions deserve."
3. Lack of Contentment: Or do I say fatigue now? A good percentage of men and women who have been unfaithful to their spouses claim they do so because their partners are no longer who they used to be, or who they thought they would be. When you are not contented with whom the Lord has given unto you, you begin to have issues with their faults, capitalize on it, and result to cheating. You may say, "He is not a caring man", well, hasn't that been who he is even from the beginning. You just did not notice until now because you suddenly lost contentment. And as a matter of fact, it is only in Christ you can learn to be contented with everything you have. 1Timothy 6:6 NLT "Yet true godliness with contentment is itself great wealth."
Now examine yourself, search your ways to see where you have been unfaithful. Really, it is not too late to put an end to your unfaithfulness, and start being a faithful Christian. You don't wanna be like Judas Iscariot whom was an unfaithful treasurer and ended up betraying his master for 30 coins of silver, do you? He committed suicide in the end (Matthew 26 and 27).
God bless us, Shalom.
