What Every Single Lady Needs To Know!

For the record, I, I mean myself ain't no marriage counselor, simply because I'm not married (yet), so I naturally can't give cues on what I really don't know how it feels like. But, I have the greatest counselor anyone can ever have living inside of me, The Holy Spirit. With Him, you can trust me to give you good counsel. So, let's move on to what I have to share today. A lady met me, told me the dilemma she's currently in and so, I'm putting it up here for us to also learn from her (with her permission of course).

Her voice "I met this guy via a Christian forum, we're both Christians, we just started seeing each other and nothing is going on yet. But with the way things are now, if he takes a step closer to me, I see myself caving in already. I've talked to God about him, and I heard Him say "No, that's not the man I want you to spend the rest of your life with". But he's everything I wished my husband would be, he meets all the criteria, still God is not giving me a "Yes". I really need you to just tell me anything at all because now, I'm not at peace within myself".

Me now. I want to assume every lady reading this has gone through, or is going through, or would soon go through a similar scenario. So, really? You heard God say "NO" already? Then why are you still so worried about this man? I thought the Voice of God is what settles everything, then why don't you want Him to settle this one also for you? I'd refer you to the time when Jesus was tempted of the devil (Matthew 4:1-11).

The devil took Jesus to the top of a cliff and showed him all the riches and good things of this world, and he gave him a condition that involved Jesus bowing down to worship him. You know what Jesus told him, right? "Thou shalt worship no other God except the LORD God Almighty".

Now, let's relate this story to the matter here. First of all, I'm not saying that the devil brought you the guy, of course you met him via a Christian forum. But since you already heard God's opinion, then I'm assuming he didn't come from God to you, (you are free to disagree with me).

Furthermore, the riches the devil showed Jesus weren't bad things, the attributes you see in this man also aren't bad things. He's a Christian, he's good looking, with a bright future ahead of him, he's whom every lady would want to associate herself with, and so on. You know what? Jesus also considered those things too, "these mansions are good looking, they befit my status, the earth is so lovely", and so on. But actually, He made a choice, and that choice was to follow the leading of God. You also have that choice to make, you can either choose this fine man or choose the will of God.

"Today I have given you the choice between life and death, between blessings and curses. Now I call on heaven and earth to witness the choice you make. Oh that you would choose life, so that you and your descendants might live! You can make this choice by loving the LORD your God, obeying him, committing yourself firmly to him. This is the key to your life. And if you love and obey the LORD, you will live long in the land the LORD swore to give your ancestors Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob." Deuteronomy 30:19-20.

And so I see disobeying God as bowing down to the devil, Jesus stood firm, you can too. Mind you, whatever choice you make, it doesn't change whom God is, He would still remain faithful to you, and He would still answer you when you call on Him (If we are unfaithful, He remains faithful, for he cannot deny who he is...2 Timothy 2:13).

But isn't it better to just obey God? Again, the choice is yours, decide rightly.
