10 Verses You Need To Constantly Remind Yourself
Earlier today, I stumbled upon a verse in the Bible, and it felt strange even though I'd already read it sometimes before. There are times when I go through some challenges, and out of no where I come across a verse that I might have read long ago. And then, I thought to myself, if only I had made myself very much acquainted with that verse, I wouldn't have had that challenge in the first place. So, here are just ten out of the numerous verses of the Bible that we need to constantly remind ourselves, and get familiar with.
1. Matthew 6:25- That is why I tell you not to worry about everyday life- whether you have enough food and drink, or enough clothes to wear. Isn't life more than food, and your body more than clothing?
2. Colossians 3:13- Make allowance for each other's faults, and forgive anyone who offends you. Remember, the Lord forgave you, so you must forgive others.
3. Matthew 5:13- You are the salt of the earth. But what good is salt if it has lost its flavour? Can you make it salty again? It will be thrown out and trampled underfoot as worthless.
4. Matthew 6:1 Watch out! Don't do your good deeds publicly, to be admired by others, for you will lose the reward from your Father in heaven.
5. Matthew 7:12- Do to others whatever you would like them to do to you. This is the essence of all that is taught in the law and the prophets.
6. Colossians 3:5- So put to death the sinful, earthly things lurking within you. Have nothing to do with sexual immorality, impurity, lust, and evil desires. Don't be greedy, for a greedy person is an idolater, worshiping the things of this world.
7. 1Thessalonians 5:18- Be thankful in all circumstances, for this is God's will for you who belong to Christ Jesus.
8. 1Timothy 4:7- Do not waste time arguing over godless ideas and old wives' tales. Instead, train yourself to be godly.
9. Hebrews 3:12- Be careful then, dear brothers and sisters. Make sure that your own hearts are not evil and unbelieving, turning you away from the living God.
10. Revelations 22:7- Look, I am coming soon! Blessed are those who obey the words of prophecy written in this book.
NB: All Bible verses written are in the New Living Translation. Shalom.
