3 Reasons You Should Read Your Bible Daily

Joshua 1:8 "Study this Book of Instruction continually. Meditate on it day and night so you will be sure to obey everything written in it. Only then will you prosper and succeed in all you do." This Book of Instruction is our Bible, and below are three of out the zillion reasons why we should read our Bible everyday.

 1. Reading your bible everyday reminds you of God's law. It reminds you of what God desires of we His children, which is centered on love. For instance, you may have read sometimes ago in your bible that every unrighteuosness is sin (1John 5:17), but over time forgot it. And as a result, you do some unrighteous things like deceiving your neighbor and you are oblivious to the fact that it is a sin. However, when you read your bible everyday, it constantly reminds you of the love and law of God.

 2. Reading your Bible everyday gives you good success. I didn't say so, God did! (Joshua 1:8).

 3. The Bible is God's manual to us. Actually, God created this earth for our use, (Genesis 1:1). When you purchase a new iron or any other electronic device, you see in its pack a "users' guide" or "users' manual". Why? So that you can have a thorough knowledge of your iron, how to use and handle it, and how to clean and maintain it. It is the same with God, He also Has given us the Bible as our guide, because we're are the ones using the earth.

The Psalmist says "thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path" Psalm 119:105. Therefore, it is expected of us to study our manual of life, because only then can we know the do's and don't's of the Maker, and then have an expected end. Shalom.

Things You Shouldn't Do In Church

Last week Thursday, I was in the Bible Study in my fellowship, and while the message was being preached, I rested my head on my thigh (bending forwards to rest my head, with my arms as support on my thigh), you get what I mean right? I wasn't exactly sleeping though, but in that position, I appeared to have somewhat gone far away from the Bible Study. Out of nowhere, the Bible Study secretary called me to answer a question! I couldn't even at that first instance comprehend the question, so, I asked him to repeat himself, and guess what? The congregation busted out laughing. COMPETITION, is one thing, as mortal beings, we cannot but do. Thanks to Biology, competition is one of the characteristics of living things, so it's not as though it is a sin. But as a Christian, there are some things you ought to know while you are out there competing with others. 1. The aim of every competition is to win, to come out better than every other counterpart. As a matter of fact, some Christians now compete to oppress the losers so to speak. That is bad actually, and is in no way healthy.
