The Key To Recovery

In retrospect to what I shared yesterday is today's post. Some guy asked me why one needs to pursue at all if at the end of the day it is what would be that would be. And seriously, the guy spoke my mind.

Candidly, why should we fast and pray over something that actually God might just think, "Hmm, my child doesn't need this now, angels, let's ignore his plea". Imagine that, and the person in question is crying and waiting on God. In my ordeal, the Holy Spirit opened my senses to some things that really matter, and I pray that He will open yours now too in Jesus Name(Amen).

The Holy Spirit says the reason why we have so much worry over our faith is because we do not know the mind of God over what we are seemingly trusting Him for. Most times, we just assume He's given a go ahead, when He really didn't. God's silence over a matter should not at all be mistaken for an approval. We're going to be looking at the story two kings in the bible as a case study, both of which were chosen by God, King David and King Saul.

The story of interest about King David is in 1Samuel 30. "And the LORD told him, 'Yes, go after them. You will surely recover everything that was taken from you!" (Verse 8b NLT). "David got back everything the Amalekites had taken, and he rescued his two wives" (verse 18 NLT). Then let's also check out King Saul in 1Samuel 28:5-25. "When Saul saw the vast Philistine army, he became frantic with fear. He asked the LORD what he should do, but the LORD refused to answer him, either by dreams or by sacred lots or by the prophets. Saul then said to his advisers, "Find a woman who is a medium, so I can go and ask her what to do" NLT.

I read this part of the scripture, and I'm like wow! This is just what is practically happening with Christians this day. We do not hear anything from God, and we go ahead to ask a Pastor or any other person whom we feel can tell us what to do. To know what happened to King Saul thereafter, you can continue on that scripture.

I believe you now can see why we pursue, and get frustrated but still recover not. The key to recovering all is knowing the mind of God. Sincerely, this post has brought even I, myself to repentance, asking God to forgive me of those times I was angry with Him because I didn't get what I pursued. I want to believe you are already asking God for mercy too, right? God is good, believe it.

So, friend, from today, seek to know the mind of God before you venture into anything at all. Saul lost God at the end of the day (1Samuel 16:1), we won't in Jesus name, amen. Shalom.
