God Didn't Move, You Did!
I'm so sorry for going on a two days break, I'm actually going through a transition, I told you guys about the issue of accommodation with my school right? So, I've been working on moving from an on campus hostel to an off campus house, it hasn't been stress free, but God has been involved.
There are just times that we don't feel God, or better put, we feel faraway from God, and it makes us wonder what could be happening. The actuality of it is that God didn't move, you did. But even if at all God did move, it is because of your sin, you know His eyes cannot behold iniquity and stuff. But here, I'm talking to someone who has triumphed over sin. I'm talking to a real Christian whom by default is a true worshiper of God. So, what is the solution when you feel distant from God which is of course not as a result of sin.
First of all, you need to accept the fact that it was you who moved, and not God, therefore you are also the one who needs to take that step forward. In order to achieve this, you must reflect back and pin point what exactly made you move. Usually, for me, whenever I realize I've moved away from God, its most times because I'm sad or because I have issues with somebody.
For instance, if I have a clash with a friend or a roommate, almost simultaneously, I feel distant from God. Or when I see a test result that broke my heart, it becomes kinda reflexive for me to move away from God. Do you get my point now? There is most likely a circumstance that has made you move away. So, to help the situation, you need to communicate with God on that issue, that is, to tell Him how that circumstance has hurt you and how you need Him to help you move back towards Him. And surely, as long as His mercy endures, He'll help you take that step.
If you are in this situation, you need to act really fast now because the devil your adversary is going about seeking whom to devour (1Peter 2:9). Don't let your guards down because of your pride. Sometimes, I get so angry with myself, and due to ego and stuff remain distantly apart from God. And as result, I lose more, it's like, the longer I stay away from God, the more frustrated I live because my quiet time and prayer life becomes nonfunctional. God detest the proud, so you take that step towards God in humility, and you can be sure He's more than ready to receive you.
You know well enough that the choice is yours to make, right? So please be fast with it so your place wouldn't be replaced. Isaiah 44:21-22, God bless you. Shalom.
