Things You Often Forget To Thank God For

As mortal beings, though born again, we are always going to need many things so long we're still alive and Jesus tarry. Certainly, all we can do better is to ask and ask and ask, making God bored, and not even remembering to thank Him for those things that may seem insignificant. Below are just few are those things I bet you haven't thanked Him for today.

1. THE AIR YOU BREATHE. Very few people acknowledge the fact that the air is not their basic fundamental human right, it's God's gift to the living. Or do the dead make use of it? I doubt.

2. THAT YOU ARE ALIVE. Fine, many of us still remember to thank God for life, but do we do it on our own, and not just when a sermon is preached, or when we witness a very gory accident.

3. FOR NOT BEING NAKED. Every time we envy/admire nice clothes, we window shop in boutiques, and complain about our out of vogue wears, forgetting that we are not naked even at the moment. Don't you think God deserves an apology for not thanking Him for what you have on, whether its old or new?

4. YOU BEING A PART OF GOD'S FAMILY. Actually, we are gentiles, but we've been made children of God because He grafted us into His family. Have you ever thanked Him for that privilege? Romans 11:17

5. FOR YOUR FAITH. If having faith in God were that easy, or something just any man could have achieved on his own, then why do we still have several million unbelievers from the time of Jesus even till now? You have faith in God because He has helped you.

6. FOR FREEDOM FROM SIN. Through the blood of Jesus, we have been set free from sin. Imagine how much money you would have spent buying doves and lambs if you were born before Christ. Leviticus 5

7. THAT YOU HAVE YOUR NAME WRITTEN IN THE BOOK OF LIFE. Well, this is for you who are sure your name is in the book of life. If not, please cry out to Jesus now, the trumpet might be just an hour to go. Revelation 20:15

8. THERE IS LIFE FOR YOU AFTER DEATH. Whether you are going to die a poor or a rich man, so long you have received Jesus, there is life for you after death. John 3:16

9. GOD'S LOVE FOR YOU. No one can love you like He does, and nothing can separate us from the love of Christ. Romans 8:35-37

10. THAT YOU CAN READ THIS POST. Yup, some are blind, some cannot read nor write, some don't have the opportunity to access the internet, some are dead, some do not even know Jesus, some didn't get a chance to see the world..they were aborted before they even could breath in air.....

The list is endless, so just forget about your wants or needs, go before the Lord right now, and thank Him for those things you think are little. He deserves your praise. Shalom.

Things You Shouldn't Do In Church

Last week Thursday, I was in the Bible Study in my fellowship, and while the message was being preached, I rested my head on my thigh (bending forwards to rest my head, with my arms as support on my thigh), you get what I mean right? I wasn't exactly sleeping though, but in that position, I appeared to have somewhat gone far away from the Bible Study. Out of nowhere, the Bible Study secretary called me to answer a question! I couldn't even at that first instance comprehend the question, so, I asked him to repeat himself, and guess what? The congregation busted out laughing. I didn't have much of an issue with that, not until the Bible Study secretary had to compare me with Eutychus right in front of everybody, (Oh My God!!!). COMPETITION, is one thing, as mortal beings, we cannot but do. Thanks to Biology, competition is one of the characteristics of living things, so it's not as though it is a sin. But as a Christian, there are some things you ought to know while you are out there competing with others. 1. The aim of every competition is to win, to come out better than every other counterpart. As a matter of fact, some Christians now compete to oppress the losers so to speak. That is bad actually, and is in no way healthy. When you find yourself in a situation where you have to just compete, your aim should be to win, and not to oppress your counterparts. You should be able to be a team with your competitors at any point in time if need be, and not sworn enemies. It is the devil and his own who oppresses, and you are not one of his, are you? 2.
