What You Can Do When Trouble Comes Your Way

In this world, troubles, issues, and affairs of life are inevitable. In one's lifetime, no matter the financial status, or believe, problems are part of one's journey through life. Whether Christian or non christian, challenges are a must. But for the Christian, there is hope in the greatest One. The way a Christian faces a challenge is quite different from the unbeliever's. An unbeliever could get frustrated and decide to commit suicide, but a Christian already knows that, taking one's life is a sin, and it would land him in hell fire.

Definitely, as Christians, we can't think suicide talk more doing it, we can't make use of the sinful solution the world may offer, we also cannot just magically make our problems disappear, so what can we do? For a Christian, who of course pleases God, but is in trouble, and is already or almost doubting God's credibility, what should he do to save himself?

"Are any of you suffering hardships? You should pray. Are any of you happy? You should sing praises. Are any of you sick? You should call for the elders of the church to come and pray over you, anointing you with the oil in the name of the Lord. Such a prayer offered in faith will heal the sick, and the Lord will make you well. And if you have committed any sins, you will be forgiven. Confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The earnest prayer of a righteous person has great power and produces wonderful results. Elijah was as human as we are, and yet when he prayed earnestly that no rain would fall, none fell for three and a half years! Then when he prayed again, the sky sent down rain and the earth began to yield its crops" James 5:13-18 NLT.

And that is it, prayer is the solution which we have over the unbelievers. There are so many encouraging words I could have said right now, but all that the Holy Spirit is saying at the moment is, "PRAY". Talk to God, and your heart will become peaceful. Philipians 4:6-7 says, "Don't worry about anything; instead, PRAY about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank Him for all He Has done. Then you will experience God's peace, which exceeds anything we can understand. His peace will guard your hearts and mind as you live in Christ Jesus" NLT.

God is your Father, be free to talk to Him, be sincere with Him, let Him know exactly how you feel. Though he knows what you need, and what you are going through, still ask Him. If there was no need to talk to God about what we need, Jesus wouldn't have bothered giving us several teachings on asking God for anything. So, stop waiting for the perfect moment to pray, don't procrastinate, do it now! Shalom.
