Your Joy or Your Problems?
Some people, even pastors have made us believe that once we're born again or live in Christ, we would be problem free. That's a big heresy, I mean its not in accordance with the word of God. What they should have said is, though you are going to face the storms of life, fear not for Jesus has overcome the world. Simply, that is what the Lord is saying today, "Fear not, for I have overcome the world". What I have to tell you today is very brief and simple, and if you're facing one challenge or the other, this is for you.
Actually, before you came into the light of Christ, there were some problems you were facing, be it academics or finances, and now that you are in Christ, those problems are still there, why? Well, it is very simple. Let us use the woman Jesus Christ met at the well for example. As at the time Jesus met her, she had no husband, but after she met Jesus for whom He really his, she went home rejoicing, why? Was she rejoicing as a result of a problem solved? No! She rejoiced because she had met the Messiah. Now let's examine it critically, it wasn't that Jesus gave her a new husband, no, but, he gave her what was far more valuable than anything, a spring of living water that could never run dry. She realized she had received something far more than her problem, that she didn't even have the need to ask him to give her another husband.
I hope you are getting this, when you have Christ, you have everything, I mean all things. So rejoice and be glad, but then, Jesus told us severally in the scriptures, to ask anything in his name, and it would be granted unto us. But first, we need to rejoice that we have Christ before even any other thing. Like the joy of the woman by the well, let it feel your heart and tell everyone about it, and you'll realize your problem is not even worth anything at all.
Rejoice in Him today, and you can be rest assured that He is more than sufficient to supply all your needs.
