Would Others Say?

Often times we're in the constant fear of what others would say about us, which in itself is a norm. But now that we're in Christ, shouldn't our constant fear be of what Jesus would say? Of course, I know its not something that is very easy, but with God's intervention it is easy. Truly, the fear of what others are going to say is one of the next things that happens after meeting Jesus. For instance, you want to give up alcohol, its only humane to be afraid of what your friends would say. Or, you are in the wrong relationship, you want to call it quits, but scared of what his siblings would say. We could go on and on listing various scenarios. The truth is, most of the time, those people that are getting you worried don't really care, they do not, and that is the truth. The one who truly cares is the LORD God Almighty. Let me tell you this very personal experience to prove this to you. My dad used to really batter me like I was a kind of criminal. A day came that I did something to annoy him, and as usual, it was battery, but what made that particular one different was, he kicked and slapped and pushed me through the entire street where we lived (about 200m). It felt like hell then, and I thought I would never be able to walk that street again (smile), well I did for about three more years. The day after that horrible incident happened, I prepared for school and to face the street became almost impossible. I stepped out of the house, the gate, heads down, and started moving, but suddenly, I looked up and I just realized nothing had changed. Everyone went about their businesses and didn't even notice I was in a bad shape, not even a bit. The people I thought would either point at me and laugh, or run to me and tell me it's ok didn't even realize somebody was walking. Right there and then, (I think I was about 11years), I told myself "People don't even really care what's gone wrong with others, they don't care", and that made me sadder, if that exists in the dictionary. Well, the moral of the story is that people don't care as much as you think they do. Will you now jeopardize your relationship with Christ because of what others might say? Remember, it is only Jesus who truly cares, He put down His life for you, what greater love can be again? Be bold and take that decision for Christ, Ok? And if you are like the me then and you need somebody to tell you "its okay", well, here is it, "IT'S OKAY". But here is more "GOD LOVES YOU AND KNOWS WHAT YOU ARE GOING THROUGH".
