Communication, A Key to Every Healthy Realtionship

Just like every other healthy relationship, communication is paramount in one's walk wth God. Shall two walk together except they be in agreement? Of course not! So how do we communicate with God when we can't see Him nor touch Him? This is a question that took me months to answer, and I'm still in search of more anyway. But let's look at it this way, there is this book that contains the mind of God, I call it the heart of God. Yes, it's the bible.
Studying the bible gives us a clearer view of God's mind, that is, we get to know who He is, what He looks like, and also what He thinks of us. God is always speaking, we just don't hear Him because our mind and spirit are not in sync with His.
It is not possible to communicate with Him when we don't know His mind or when we don't even make effective attempts to know Him.
Moreover, we also need to talk to God on a regular basis, that is most often through prayers. But, really, some of us know all this, yet, still struggling with reading our bible and praying on a daily basis.
So how do we stop the struggle and start to enjoy communicating with the Almighty? I know how it feels to struggle with reading the bible, it becomes a boring chore, which is nothing like the way God wants it. God is looking for true worshippers, who will worship Him in Spirit and in truth. Those are the kind of people He desires, and we can be one of those people.
We should be conscious of the fact that God seeks the true worshippers, and not  those who worship Him falsely as a result of their selfish gains. When we begin to see ourselves as true worshippers, reading our bible and praying would become less of a struggle.

Things You Shouldn't Do In Church

Last week Thursday, I was in the Bible Study in my fellowship, and while the message was being preached, I rested my head on my thigh (bending forwards to rest my head, with my arms as support on my thigh), you get what I mean right? I wasn't exactly sleeping though, but in that position, I appeared to have somewhat gone far away from the Bible Study. Out of nowhere, the Bible Study secretary called me to answer a question! I couldn't even at that first instance comprehend the question, so, I asked him to repeat himself, and guess what? The congregation busted out laughing. COMPETITION, is one thing, as mortal beings, we cannot but do. Thanks to Biology, competition is one of the characteristics of living things, so it's not as though it is a sin. But as a Christian, there are some things you ought to know while you are out there competing with others. 1. The aim of every competition is to win, to come out better than every other counterpart. As a matter of fact, some Christians now compete to oppress the losers so to speak. That is bad actually, and is in no way healthy. When you find yourself in a situation where you have to just compete, your aim should be to win, and not to oppress your counterparts.
