EVANGELISM; Is there A Specific Place?

Yes, you saw it right, "evangelism". This is one word that makes most believers sick to the marrow, that thought of talking to a complete stranger about Christ or even an acquaintance, or the thought of going round the market screaming 'Jesus is Coming Soon' (lol). First of all, it is well, second of all, evangelism is not as difficult as mostly perceived. As we all know, Jesus Christ himself instructed us to go into all nations and preach the gospel, Mark 16:15.
Evangelism is simply preaching the good news (gospel) to others with the aim of converting them to Christians. Thankfully, we have people who have devoted their lives to evangelism, but disappointingly, a very good number of us have simply ignored this responsibility of ours. Somebody preached the gospel to us, why don't we just do same to others? Well, actually, the problem with most of us is, we are of the mindset that there should be a specific time, and a specific place for evangelism. This is absolutely false. There is no specific time and place for evangelism, the good news can be shared anywhere and anytime. Some churches do organize prison, hospital, and school outreaches for the purpose of evangelism. Good idea, but should evangelism be limited to just that? No, evangelism, should be a part of us, just like it is a part of us to reproduce and bring forth offspring to sustain generations, and so also should be evangelism. In the Lord's prayer, we ask for His kingdom to come on earth as it is in heaven (Luke 11:2-4), don't you think that when His kingdom finally comes, sadly, the population of Christians would be nothing more than 30% of the world's population. Or that some of our loved ones won't even make the 30%? So, let us by the Spirit of God renew our minds and let go of every mindset that is not in accordance with the word of God. You can evangelize in various ways: through your social media accounts, school or office notice boards, you can share tracts, you can call a friend just to tell him or her Jesus died for his sake, and so on. Moreover, you can preach at any time of the day, morning, afternoon, night, even from the comfort of your home. Please, don't just relax because you go for outreaches with your local church, or because you donate items to the less privilege, or because you pray for the missionaries once in a while. These are good, but you can do even better by making evangelism a part of you. What have you done to help that neighbor of yours who is ignorant of Christ and perished in sin? Evangelism is an assignment for every Christian and not just for some set of people. The Lord is challenging you today to raise your status quota in evangelism. Have you mentioned Christ to someone today?
