Last week Thursday, I was in the Bible Study in my fellowship, and while the message was being preached, I rested my head on my thigh (bending forwards to rest my head, with my arms as support on my thigh), you get what I mean right? I wasn't exactly sleeping though, but in that position, I appeared to have somewhat gone far away from the Bible Study. Out of nowhere, the Bible Study secretary called me to answer a question! I couldn't even at that first instance comprehend the question, so, I asked him to repeat himself, and guess what? The congregation busted out laughing. Walking or Just Working?

We often confuse "working" for God with "walking" with him. You may work for someone you do not know, but do you think it is possible to walk with a total stranger? Amos 3:3 "Can two walk together except they be agreed?" Some of us attend bible study weekly, prayer meetings, clean the church, join the evangelism team, sing in the choir, act in drama, teach in Bible study, and so on. You know, all these are works. There is still the real thing that has been left out, that is, walking with God. God has called us first to walk with Him, to conform unto the image of Christ. Church activities are only secondary to our walk with the Father. Now, how do you walk with God? 1. For the most times when the Israelites had run into trouble, the cause of their misfortune had been that they had failed in holding unto their ends of the bargain with God. What I'm saying is that, for each of the time the Israelites were overcome by their enemies, they had ignored, treated with contempt, the commandments God had given to them.
