God, Me, and Mr M. A must read!!!
1 Samuel 16:17 "But the Lord said unto Samuel, "Look not on his countenance or on the height of his stature, because I have refused him; for the Lord seeth not as man seeth. For man looketh on the outward appearance, but the Lord looketh on the heart.""
This week, I just want to tell you more about trusting God's decision for you. Two weeks ago, I wrote a piece on when God gives you a no for an answer. I will tell us exactly what happened, I mean why I wrote that post in the first place.
There is this person, I mean, a guy that sought to engage me. You know, he told me he loved me and stuff. As God's child, I told God what had happened. I was sincere in my approach, I made Him know that I liked that person, and that left for me, I wouldn't mind being his "Mrs". But as God would have His way, He told me, "NO, that man is not your man." Reluctantly and very much sadly, I agreed with God.
Now, fast forward to a few days ago, something so strange to me happened.
I was waiting on God while fasting and praying, when suddenly I felt the urge to send a message to that man (let's just call him Mr. M). I sent a hi to Mr M on whatsapp, and it turned out I was chatting with his "girlfriend", while he was supposedly fast asleep. She told me several things, ranging from how they've been together for over five years and still counting, and how she intended to kill herself if they ever had to break up.
I was as shocked as you are right now. Mr M is actually in a deep affair with someone else already, and he is also after me. You know, this is someone I met via a Christian forum, he's an active planner of a revival program tagged "Tetelestia", he's invited me to his church, he boldly told me to ask the Holy Spirit about him, and I'm even very close to a bosom friend of his.
I was disappointed, sad and happy at the same time!
Well, trust me, I became friends with the poor girl, and I didn't even try to break her heart (I prayed for her though). Anyways, I'm not writing this because I'm a heartbroken lady in love, nope. I'm sharing this so you can be more encouraged to accept God's "no".
Do not be deceived by the outward appearance, and listen to God. Embrace His desires for you even though you may not be totally happy with it. NO ONE'S GOT YOUR BACK LIKE OUR FATHER. Psalm 37:5 "Commit your way unto the LORD, trust also in Him and He will do it."
