Praying Made Easy!!!

Every Christian knows how important it is to pray. We all, at least, are familiar with the Bible verses that urge us to pray always, 1Thessalonians 5:17.  However, a good number of us find it very very difficult to pray consistently. And why is that? Honestly I do not know. At one point, one is actively praying, and at another point, one is just down, and prayer just becomes a struggle. You know, an "on" and "off" kind of thing, you get right?  I am also not an exception here, in fact, if there's anybody who used to go more "off" than "on", it should me. But hey, that's not now anymore, God has helped me. Therefore, what you are about to learn here is my secret to having a stable and life changing prayer life.  As I said earlier, I used to frequently go off in the place of prayer with the excuse of always being busy, as in, school work, fellowship activities, social responsibility etc. Having a cold prayer altar wasn't a thing ...

The Sociable Christian

Born again, sanctified, studies the Bible, prays, goes regularly to church, very active with the things of God, however, chic (attractive and fashionable) in appearance, does the "worldly things" in a godly manner, an active blog reader, watches E! News, keeps up with the Kadarshians, generally updated, and very sociable. Does the above character describe you? If yes, this post has been written just for you alone. Really, I am yet to come across any verse in the Bible that declares being sociable a sin per say, but then, there are guidelines and principles that have been written, to guide us, even as we sojourn in this world (1Peter 2:11). Firstly, being sociable means being able to interact with others and one's environment in a very friendly way. We should try as much, not to confuse "sociability" with "sexy". They are two entirely different terms. Where the problem lies with most sociable Christians is in the inability to draw the line between...

How Do You React To Anger?

How exactly do you react to an annoying situation? What do you do when you have just found yourself in a situation that has seemingly annoyed you? Yesterday, I was at the ATM, and some guy who got there after I did, tried to cheat his way right to my place. To be honest, I didn't even think twice before I addressed him, and put him back in his rightful position. However, surprisingly, some other people on the queue were in support of him, probably because they were much older, or maybe because they felt I had not been polite enough while addressing him (of course, I was polite, ok, I was a little). Now, that got me really mad. The first thing that came to mind was to hush all of them, but you know, God cautioned me, and I held my peace. They all kept saying what they could, and I never uttered not even a word till I left. This is just one of the numerous annoying situations that one could easily find oneself. The very important thing here is to know how to react to such situati...

Online Dating? No Thanks!

There is something God has been laying on my heart to write about for a while now, and that is "online dating". However, in order to be more informed, I went as an "undercover agent" to get more insights into online dating, so you can be rest assured that I'm going to write realistically. Mind you, I've been on several dating sites when I was an unbeliever, but this time, I went as a child of God, therefore, I know the two sides of it, a life of sin is totally not worth it. Each time I remember those times I had spent on dating websites, I knew I had made the right choice following Christ alone. First of all, let's get some definitions right. Online dating, is the practice of searching for a romantic or sexual partner on the internet, typically via a dedicated website -wikipedia. It is also, a way of starting a romantic relationship on the internet, by giving information about yourself, or replying to someone else's information -Cambridge Dicti...
