Before You Say, "I QUIT!"
Since inception, life has always been a challenge; a battle for the strong, and a survival of the fittest! But, just when you are about to quit or give up, remember these few things:
1. You have actually been relying on your own strength. The Bible says, by strength shall no man prevail. That is, by your strength, you are very likely to fail. You really cannot make it on your own. Zachariah 4:6
2. By telling yourself "you quit", you just gave the devil a chance to win.
3. Quitting, as a Christian, is a way of telling God He is incompetent, and that, He has created a failure out of you.
4. By giving up, you also give up on God and His promises concerning you.
5. And finally, by quitting, you fail yourself.
However, there is still hope for you, God is always there, ready to put you right back on track. All you have to do are the following:
1. Acknowledge that you cannot do it on your own. You know, the moment God says you will achieve something, say, be an influential person, that is exactly the moment He just told you, "you cannot do it". Instead, what God is saying is, "partner with Me, and let me achieve this through you". So really, you cannot do it, let God. 1Samuel 2:9
2. Let God direct your course per time. Give Him your hand, and allow Him lead you. You do this by depending on Him to make any decision, by praying with all sincerity of heart, and studying His words to know His mind. Proverbs 3:6
3. Say to the devil, "God's got me!" Rebuke him, and he will flee from you. James 4:7
4. Tell yourself, "Jesus has already overcome the world for me on the cross of Calvary" he has overcome death, failure, depression, all for your sake; you have no cause to give up on yourself. John 16:33
5. Usually, we quit out of fear; fear of being tagged a failure, fear of the unknown, but guess what? God has not given us the spirit of fear, but of love, of power, and of a sound mind (2.Timothy 1:7). You got a sound mind, FEAR NOT! Isaiah 41:10
Finally, God is letting you go through all that you are going through so that he can bring you out of it, OK? Now, pull yourself together, and continue from where you paused, because God's got it!!!
Psalm 34:19 KJV "Many are the afflictions of the righteous: but the LORD delivereth him out of them all." Shalom
