Dear Singles of God,
The unbelievable happened to me! And right now, I am still in deep shock.
Last night, out of the blues, my mom called me to ask, "You are no longer a kid, you are 20. Tell me, who is that person you want to marry?"
What?
At that instant I felt like I was going to disappear and appear in planet Mars. Some of you might be wondering, "what's the big deal in that?". Well, my mom and I don't have the kind of relationship where we talk about relationships, lol. Hence, the shock.
However, at that instant, I understood what people meant when they talked pressure from parents to get married. Really, that pressure is real. But then, I am here to tell you of something that is much more valuable than the pressure of getting married.
"The Will of God" Truth be told, a twenty something year old lady should begin to have a Mr Who. However, there is what we call "the will of God". The will of God supersedes that of your parents', it supersedes even your own will. Anyone who allows the will of God would not make a costly mistake.
Learn to let God have his way and do not let anyone rush you into something you would later regret. There is another thing I want to point out.
You know, after she asked me that question, I began to think of the guy that has been disturbing me for a while now. This same guy, God had already told me a no. I started thinking, "should I call this guy? Should I give it a trial?" Thankfully, before I did something outside of God's will, I was cautioned.
These three things you should always remember
1. The safest place in the world is in the will of God.
2. Pressure from outsiders won't kill you, so give yourself some breathing space.
3. God has a plan for you, let Him do his part, and do not try to hurry him.
"Faithful is He that has called you, who also would bring it to pass." 1Thessalonians 5:24. Shalom
